List Guidelines
If you have already read the Guidelines previously and just need to adjust your subscription,
you may skip to the Subscription Processing Form.

The phrase "The List" will mean any individual list.

1. The List is for a general discussion.

2. Enter the topic of your email in the SUBJECT AREA to make it easier for other people to scan through what interests them.

3. No attachments allowed. Attachments can contain viruses. If you receive ANY post with an attachment, DO NOT OPEN IT, as the OldLouisvilleNews will not be responsible for any attachments that you may receive.

4. When Replying to a post "Reply" must be added to the subject tag.

5. No profanity is allowed

6. No personal attacks or "Flaming" on the list or as "personal replies" will be allowed.

7. No using the list addresses for spamming of other list members

8. Humor is allowed on the list as long as it is not profane in nature.

9. All opinions, misspellings, or incorrect information, are those of the person submitting the email message. We cannot be responsible for any comments or errors in messages posted to the list

10. Violators of common "netiquette" will be asked to refrain from such abuse

11. There will be no advertising on the list. The OldLouisville.net website has very reasonable rates for your advertising needs, please leave it at the OldLouisville.net website, and not on the list.

12. Each list member is allowed two violations in which they will be warned if any of the guidelines are broken. If further problems occur, they will be removed from the list.

13. The list is for all of our benefit. Please learn, enjoy and help each other to be the best that we can, so our love for community can grow in the new millennium.

14. Please post your name and email address to all messages for private answers.

15. The List is monitored but not moderated. Please follow the rules so everyone can enjoy the services that they provide.

16. You may receive the list as individual emails or as a digest version (once or twice a day). The digest version is very easy.

17. When you receive digest versions all you need to do is scan through what interests you and the download time is very quick. If you pick the digest version and would like to change back go to regular distribution you can do it easily through the automated subscription service below.

18. The List is sponsored by the OldLouisville.net but the content of the list is neither the opinion nor responsibility of the OldLouisville.net or Old Louisville Chamber of Commerce, owners of OldLouisville.net .

19. Thank you for your interest

New subscriptions will get an email notice that needs to be returned within 24 hours, to complete the subscription process.

If you do not receive an automated response within a few hours, more than likely the email address you entered above was some how incorrect and the system was not able to process the request. In that case, try re-submitting your request (don't worry it will only accept one subscription per email address). If you still have problem, contact helper@ud.net.

NOTE: A space or extra "period" can cause an address to be rejected. Any time we get email that has been refused by an internet mail host due to improper address, we delete that name from the mailing list. If you have not received any response, this might be the case. We suggest you re-submit your subscription.
